Moxibustion
Moxibustion originated in Northern China which gets very cold and where cold contracted-type symptoms would be common. These particular symptoms would include tight or chilled muscles, and other types of congestion such as poor digestion and menstrual cramping.
These conditions all generally respond favorably to this particular heat treatment. Moxibustion (Moxa) sticks are cigar-like tubes containing the herb Mugwort.
For the treatment of a contracted muscle for example, the Moxa stick is lit and when sufficiently hot it is held close to the area of tension (stuck Qi) in the body. As the heat soaks in the area expands, reducing the tension and allowing a better flow of Qi.
It is particularly effective in treating seriously blocked or stuck Qi.
Moxibustion is a very effective treatment for any really stuck Qi or cold contracted condition that you may have.
